Rhiannon Scott

Originally from Durham, Rhiannon started coaching in Stirling whilst at Stirling university studying journalism. Her role creating Starlight club was integral to her receiving a funded place to further study a masters in sports coaching. Now coaching full time, Rhiannon is also an experienced singles coach working with skaters from Stirling new figure skating club, Northlanarkshire ice skating club and Active Stirling.

Rhiannon skated singles for a number of clubs including Durham & Sunderland before their closure, she then skated at Whitley Bay and Billingham ice rink.

Committed and compassionate, Rhiannon is brilliant at detail and brings the best in presentation out in our skaters. Much loved by all of our athletes she is currently team coach for Starlight Cyclone our preliminary team.

Rhiannon has competed with and coached both Starlight Rain and Mist in seasons where the teams required the numbers. This is no easy task and alongside her growth mindset demonstrates the supportive family ethos of Starlight that Rhiannon has been integral in creating.

‘I enjoy encouraging a passion for learning new skills and helping to develop creativity in each skater. Working in a team is an entirely different experience which brings new challenges and joys to the world of coaching.’
