Janet Donaldson

Janet is the newest level 2 addition to our coaching team. Having competed with Starlight’s first ever competitive team alongside Collette, has since skated for Starlight Rain working hard on developing her outstanding flexibility and complexity of her footwork. Janet skated with Rain when they won the British Adult Synchro Championship three times and Scottish Adult Synchro Title six times. Janet also skates for our mixed age team, Starlight Storm and singles for North Lanarkshire figure skating club.

Janet currently coaches our beginner adult team, Vortex and supports Collette with Starlight Frost.

As a coach Janet is caring and patient and is able to draw from her own learning experience when teaching the adult teams. She has also been integral to the development of Scotland first ever inclusive skating club and singles coach inclusive skaters wining international titles. The inclusive club also have a Synchro team which Janet started & coached.
